Dickinson County RWD #1 is a utility billing system; the district operator will read your meter every month around the 23rd of each month.  The billing system will round gallons used to the nearst 1000 gallons; rounding down at 499 gallons and rounding up at 500 gallons.  Water bills are mailed on the 1st of the month and are due the 15th (payments received after the 15th incur a $15.00 late charge).  Effective July 15th, 2022:  Monthly minimum is $45.00 (includes no gallons used) and $5.00 per 1000 gallons.

It is the patrons responsibility to keep the meter free of debris and protect agains freezing during the winter months; the district has foam inserts for sale.  Should your meter freeze you will be charged for unthawing/replacing the meter and services charges that occurs in doing so.  Your meter is an auto read meter; it is the patrons responsibility that if any damages to the lid/accessories due to patrons negligence the patron will be liable for the replacement(s) at full cost.  The district suggests putting landscaping or contact the district operator to flag the meter to avoid costly damages.
